Dr. Gita Varaprasathan has been a member of the Hill Medical Corporation since 2008. Dr. Varaprasathan specializes in Women’s and Abdominal Imaging. Her expertise in Breast Imaging has contributed to the success of the Jim & Eleanor Randall Breast Centerand she has earned a reputation for providing outstanding customer service and dedicated patient care. Dr. Varaprasathan has earned a reputation for accurate diagnoses, reliability in her interpretations, and precision when performing breast biopsies.

Dr. Varaprasathan graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University, and received her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Varaprasathan served as Chief Resident in Radiology at University of California San Francisco Medical School. Following residency, she completed her fellowship training in Women’s Imaging/Abdominal Imaging at UCSF.

Dr. Varaprasathan has co-authored several peer reviewed publications and presentations. Dr. Varaprasathan conducted several research projects in MRI and also worked on projects such as gene cloning and analyzing mutations for ataxia telangiectasia. Dr. Varaprasathan maintains a high level of dedication to delivering professional excellence to our patients, especially at the Jim & Eleanor Randall Breast Center.
