This week the medical team of Huntington Memorial Hospital and The Hill Medical Corporation marked the 50th stroke thrombectomy procedure performed in less than a year since they started offering 24/7 endovascular stroke intervention. Acute stroke patients usually have a high mortality and severe neurological deficits for the rest of their lives. Following this life-saving procedure, where the clot is removed from a main artery in the brain (thrombectomy), most of our patients were discharged home with minimal or no residual neurological deficits. We value the partnership with Huntington Hospital, and are proud to be part of this successful program.
